Have you ever watched little kids and noticed how free, creative, and full of life they are?
I was sitting in the airport on my way back from the Bahamas and started watching this adorable 2-year-old little boy running around. He was jumping up and down, clapping, smiling and waving at people as they passed by. He was laughing and having a wonderful time, it was beautiful to experience this beautiful curiosity about everything.
It was inspiring to watch, and made me start thinking how important and beneficial it is to spend time around little kids. They can remind us of our most natural, true, and blissful state. I realize that at times we all have to go through challenging life experiences to help us learn and grow.
I am not saying we should embrace everything about being a little kid. We can't all run around throwing tantrums everywhere! However, I think we could all benefit from having a little more fun and curiosity in our daily lives. If you feel like dancing, then by all means get up and dance! If you wanna go say hello to someone then just go for it. If you feel stuck or bored, try something new and different.
Go back to that point in your childhood before you became jaded by your "ego self" or when society started telling you that you were not good enough. Back to that time when you had no fear, when you lived in a world of infinite possibilities. The more fun your have in life, the more healthy and healthy you will be!
Did you know stress is the leading cause of illness and early aging?
This is exactly why we need to stop working ourselves to death and have more fun in life! One would assume you would not go to work every day without getting paid for it, so why would ever even think of working your life away without rewarding yourself?
When I was in the Bahamas, my friend and myself decided to start dancing out by the pool where a DJ was playing music. We recently took on the challenge of breaking free and letting go of old thinking habits that no longer serve us.
I know I am not speaking alone when I say, I have never felt more alive, happy, powerful, and unbreakable as I did in that moment!
We decided to really bust out some dance moves (even without any alcohol, we were simply just high on life) when there was no one else dancing. Even though we were in this amazing place and awesome music was playing, everyone seemed to be too cool, or stuck in trying to be like everyone else.
It was hard to believe that instead of embracing this beautiful and fun moment, most of them just would not budge from their chairs. At that moment I realized we were in our own little world but it was the most fun world ever! Even if everyone else thought we were crazy, it simply didn’t matter because we would not allow it to. We all live in our own reality anyway, I figure why not make it a good one?
I was even more stunned when a young teenage girl came up to me afterwards and said, "I wish I could have had the courage to come dance with you guys!" This hit me like a ton of bricks! Even at such a young age she was already disillusioned by outside negative influences telling her that she wasn't enough.
If she could only see how beautiful and amazing she was, she had everything she needed already inside of her. What others thought about her ultimately did not matter, all she had do was let go and go for it!
The more I study and observe people, my own thoughts, and read as many personal evolution books that I can get my hands on, the more convinced I am that we all really do live in our own little realities. It is ultimately our choice what reality we want we live in.
Sometimes we fall into the trap of thinking that everyone thinks and reacts to experiences similar to the way we personally do, or that people are more focused on us rather than themselves. Let me share a little secret with you that might change your life (it has certainly changed mine), we could not be further from what is actually occurring.
If you are having a problem breaking free into the unbreakable version of yourself that I know we all can be, try and remember you are the only one who has to live in your own skin. If someone else tells you to hit your hand with a hammer and you decide to follow their direction, who actually has to deal with the pain?
The same goes for when you find yourself holding back from living the life you want to live because you are too worried what others will think of you. Realize others are most likely too focused on thinking about themselves or what others are thinking about them even notice.
The power is yours to live the life you want to live! You were born for excellence, and you choose to be the creator of your life instead of the victim! Start living, learn to laugh and truly love! Believe in yourself, learn and grow, take the adventure, and be unbreakable! Stop being your own worst enemy and holding yourself back from your divine potential!
Why are we so willing to believe others when they tell us we look ugly or fat, or we just are not good enough? Why do we have such a hard time believing when we are told we are beautiful, talented, or amazing? It is time to put an end to all of this disillusioned thinking, and time to make a shift in consciousness and choose to flip the system!
Now I know for some this way of thinking may be very hard to swallow, but I challenge you to take a deeper look. Music has always been one of my greatest inspirations, so I want to reference a song that embraces this idea perfectly, called Who Says, by Selena Gomez.
I wouldn't wanna be anybody else.
You made me insecure
Told me I wasn't good enough
But who are you to judge
When you're a diamond in the rough
I'm sure you got some things
You'd like to change about yourself
But when it comes to me
I wouldn't want to be anybody else
I'm no beauty queen
I'm just beautiful me
You've got every right
To a beautiful life
Who says you're not perfect
Who says you're not worth it
Who says you're the only one that's hurting
Who says you're not beautiful
You have everything you need already inside you. The question is whether you are willing to wake up, take a hold of the power inside of you, and break free. You were born to be and create the life you want to live!
And always remember you can bend, but you can never break! Stay unbreakable!
